PVC Strip Curtain Price per Sq Ft in India (2026 Rates)

Quick answer: In October 2026 a Chronovex PVC strip curtain complete set costs ₹189 to ₹289 per sq ft, GST included, depending on the strip type, thickness and PVC quality. A plain transparent 2 mm set is ₹189/sq ft, so a standard 3 ft × 7 ft door comes to about ₹5,103. A magnetic (self-closing) curtain starts at ₹319/sq ft with a 30 sq ft minimum. The price covers the PVC strips, hook-on hanger hardware, nuts and bolts, and factory cutting to your door size — you only hang it.

What a "complete set" includes

Many sellers quote a low per-sq-ft rate for the PVC alone and then add hardware, cutting and fixing later. A Chronovex complete set is priced per square foot and already includes:

• PVC strips in the type and thickness you choose, cut to your door height by machine;
• hanger hardware (hook-ons) sized to the door width;
• nuts and bolts to fix the strips to the hanger;
• a GST tax invoice (HSN 3920 49 00) for input tax credit.

Not included: an aluminium sliding track (optional, charged per door — see below) and installation at your site.

PVC strip curtain price per sq ft (October 2026)

These are the current per-sq-ft prices of complete sets on chronovex.in, GST included. "Normal", "Mix DOP" and "DOP" are PVC compound grades: DOP grades are softer and more flexible, which matters in cold rooms and doors that see a lot of traffic.

Special-purpose sets are priced separately: welding-grade ₹239/sq ft and anti-static ₹259/sq ft. Prices on the product page are always the latest; if this table and a product page ever differ, the product page applies.

How the billed area is calculated

A strip curtain has to be a little larger than the opening, otherwise air, dust and insects leak around the edges. Chronovex bills the door size plus 6 inches in width and 6 inches in height (3 inches of overlap on each side and at the top), rounded up to the next whole square foot:

Billed area (sq ft) = (door width in inches + 6) × (door height in inches + 6) ÷ 144

Worked example for a 3 ft × 7 ft door (36 × 84 inches): (36 + 6) × (84 + 6) ÷ 144 = 42 × 90 ÷ 144 = 26.25, billed as 27 sq ft. At ₹189/sq ft that is ₹5,103.

The strips are spaced so that neighbouring strips overlap (an 8-inch strip every 6 inches, or a 12-inch strip every 9 inches — in the PVC trade this spacing is called 50% overlap). Approximate complete-set prices for a plain transparent curtain, GST included. Use the 3 mm column for busier doors, loading bays and anything wider than about 8 ft.

Magnetic PVC curtains are billed differently

A magnetic PVC strip curtain has magnets along the strip edges, so the strips butt against each other and close by themselves instead of overlapping. It is billed on whole 16-inch strips × door height, with a minimum of 30 sq ft. Current rates: Normal ₹319, Mix DOP ₹349 and DOP ₹409 per sq ft, GST included.

Magnetic curtains cost more per sq ft but give a tighter seal, which is why they are popular for AC rooms, clinics, offices and shop doors where people walk through by hand. Use the magnetic tab of the calculator for your size.

What makes the price go up or down

• Thickness: 3 mm adds ₹20/sq ft over 2 mm. As a rule of thumb, 2 mm suits normal doors up to about 7–8 ft high; 3 mm hangs straighter on wide or tall doors and lasts longer under forklift or trolley traffic. Our thickness guide goes deeper.
• PVC grade: Mix DOP adds ₹30 and DOP ₹60/sq ft over Normal. Choose DOP where the curtain must stay flexible in cold, or where strips are pushed aside all day.
• Strip type: ribbed and polar sets cost ₹20/sq ft more than plain. Ribbed strips resist scratching; polar compound stays flexible in freezers (see why cold rooms need polar grade).
• Door size: because 6 inches is added to width and height, small doors have a higher share of overlap. The rate per sq ft stays the same.
• Quantity: for several doors or a project, ask for a bulk quote — multi-door orders are quoted together.

Optional: aluminium sliding track

The standard set uses fixed hook-ons. If you want to slide the whole curtain aside (for example to move large goods), add aluminium sliding hardware, charged per door on top of the per-sq-ft price:

A width in between takes the next size's rate. Doors wider than 7 ft use two tracks (for example 8 ft = 2 × 4 ft). With a sliding track the strips hang from the trolleys, so hook-ons are not used on that door.

Complete set or PVC roll?

If you have your own fitter and hardware, you can buy PVC as a 50-metre strip roll and cut it on site. That suits contractors doing many doors. For one or a few doors the complete set is usually simpler: strips arrive cut to size with matching hardware, so there is no waste and no cutting on site.
