The 4-star hotel's 18-foot wide main entrance was its biggest selling point — and its biggest energy leak. The general manager flagged three pain points: (1) June electricity bill had crossed ₹1.12 lakh, with chiller load running 22 hours a day, (2) housekeeping was wiping the lobby marble 6× daily and still getting complaints on TripAdvisor, (3) the front desk team was facing recurring sore throats and allergic reactions.
We measured before we sold
Our senior project engineer, Rohit Verma (12 yrs HVAC), spent 4 hours on site with a smoke pen, a particulate counter and the hotel's power sub-meter. The diagnosis was unambiguous: a 2.1 m/s pressure gradient was sucking outside air in every time a guest entered, and the existing rotating-door installation had failed seals.

We engineered a twin air-curtain bank, mounted at 2.2 m height, angled 15° outward to create a continuous 25 m/s downward air seal across the full 18-foot doorway. Each unit is whisper-mode at <58 dB — critical for a lobby setting. Auto-on via magnetic door sensor.
Verified results, 30 days post-install
Power sub-meter showed a 28% reduction in lobby HVAC load over the same 30-day window the following year. Particulate count at the front desk dropped from 142 μg/m³ to 38 μg/m³. Housekeeping reduced marble-cleaning frequency to 3× daily. The hotel signed our 5-year AMC immediately.
